About Flowing Oriental Sales Office

Flowing Oriental is a sales office interior located in Fuzhou, China. The design draws on the local fishing port culture, with references to arched bridges, boats and flowing water. Lacquer finishes and ink-like surfaces recall regional porcelain and lacquer crafts. A bow ring installation, three meters high and 3.6 meters in diameter with a 50 millimeter thin edge profile, marks the main experience area. Fluid structures, light and shadow connect the entrance, the installation area and the booth area, creating a calm and continuous visual flow.

Within the evolving discourse of contemporary interior architecture that seeks meaningful dialogue between Eastern philosophical traditions and modernist spatial principles, Shenzhen Zerfang Space Design Co.'s Flowing Oriental Sales Office emerges as a particularly accomplished meditation on threshold, reflection, and luminous void. The design demonstrates sophisticated engagement with the moon gate tradition, here transformed from garden aperture into architectural light installation, its circular form long associated in Eastern aesthetics with completeness, celestial harmony, and the passage between realms of experience. The technical achievement manifests in the calibration of material contrasts: the warm translucency of the backlit stone element against the cool precision of its metal frame, the mirror-dark water against the pale surrounding surfaces, the organic sculptural form against the geometric architectural envelope. This interplay suggests awareness of yin-yang complementarity rendered through contemporary material vocabulary. The sculptural element positioned centrally, with its cloud-like or coral-like organic morphology, may evoke scholar's rocks of classical garden tradition, those natural forms prized for embodying principles of spontaneous creation and mountain-water aesthetics. The reflective pool introduces temporal dimension through its stillness, suggesting pause and contemplation within what the design's title indicates as flowing movement. Light operates as primary medium, with the circular aperture functioning less as window than as captured moon, its warm glow establishing spiritual center within the otherwise cool-toned environment. The sheer curtain panels introduce subtle veiling, another threshold between seen and unseen, known and mysterious. One might observe how the design achieves that quality of refined emptiness, of ma or meaningful interval, that distinguishes contemplative Eastern spatial traditions from Western approaches to interior composition. The viewer is invited to consider how architecture might create conditions for interior stillness amid the commercial function the space nominally serves.

Production Technology
The lacquer culture expressed in ink floating is used, hope between the bow and the archway. The future fish, the future tree, the future lacquer ware are all on this bay. The incorporation into the spatial skeleton of the cloud works allows the structure itself to be sublimated into the art of space, and blurs the boundaries between space and space, allowing its juxtaposition of oriental artifacts and natural emotions.
Design Challenge
First of all the field scale requirements vary. When it comes to interior design, many people have the stereotype of a certain localized small space, but in fact the entire interior of the building is within the scope of design and design. Smaller spaces have fewer factors to consider, but from a larger scale, the number of factors to consider increases considerably. The overall style and how the individual spaces should be styled is something you need to think about.
Project Duration
The project started in April 2020 in the Cansan district of Fuzhou, was completed in July 2010 in Rimini, and showcased its contents and experience in the region in August 2020.
Operation Flow
The overall space is connected with a fluid structure and light and shadow, creating an ever-changing space that allows the freedom of infinite possibilities. From the beginning of the entrance, we establish an artistic field of interaction between the vestibule, the special installation area and the elegant booth area.
Research
In the city of Fuzhou, the city inherits the origin of culture, and adheres to the intrinsic connection of light, shadow, objects, structure and emotion, and integrates them into the spatial framework of Yunzhao, making the structure itself sublimated into the art of space, and blurring the boundaries between space and space, allowing it to parallel emotions.
Inspiration
Pure vision and mind, make people gradually settle the external disturbance, let the focus back to the level of life, give space quiet value, achievement of the ultimate, mysterious nature, to achieve a high degree of integration of external and internal visual extension. We look for a balance of air and light among people, artifacts, environment and architecture, highlighting the natural visual effect to create an oriental mystery and restrained nobility.
