Different venues have different spatial requirements, a column-free space with hanging truss system will provide great flexibility on spatial arrangement. The Center not only will provide professional venues for competitions and exhibitions but also will provide gardens and running track for leisure activities for citizens.

With the development of the time, the design of the venues has become larger and the use of functions has become more comprehensive.
Fa'aosofia: Since Shenzhen is the most rapidly urbanized and developed city in China, traditional sports or culture centers with individual functions will not fit this compact urban context. With the site limitation, functions and spaces are vertically stacked up creating a new type of Vertical Sports-Culture Mix. A series of public spaces are blended in to the functional area to encourage social interaction.
