About Z Residential Interior Design
Z is a residential interior design for an apartment in New Taipei City. The scheme is based on cool gray tones, with marble, terrazzo, FENIX panels, cement and titanium plated metal forming the material base. Partition walls were removed so that daylight reaches the whole home, including a living room that previously had none. A three-dimensional arc ceiling shapes and softens the main space, and the curve is inspired by the form of an embrace. Decoration is kept minimal, so the texture of each material creates the layering and a calm, quiet place to rest.

- The definition of [home] is warm, quiet and safe.
It mimics the protective nature of the mother's womb and provides a relaxing environment for body and mind.
Gray tones can tolerate various colors, and the different gray materials is used as the space base. The texture of the material itself can increase the layering in space, abandon unnecessary decoration, making the home a relaxing meditation space. - Inspiration
