About Yuplet Branding Corporate Identity

Yuplet Branding is a corporate identity created for a marketplace of handmade and sustainable products. The system is centred on a crescent motif, applied consistently across the custom wordmark, iconography, illustrations and layouts. Vivid green marks the buyer experience, while rich purple guides sellers, giving each user group a clear visual signal. Rounded forms, bold contrast and mobile-first cues, drawn from research with younger consumers, extend the identity across digital and printed touchpoints. Digital assets were prepared in vector format.

Jake Wilkins's Yuplet Branding Corporate Identity presents a confident exercise in contemporary sustainable commerce visual communication, positioning itself within the broader cultural movement toward conscious consumerism and circular economy platforms that have gained prominence throughout the 2020s as environmental awareness increasingly shapes marketplace behaviors and brand positioning strategies, the identity system demonstrates sophisticated understanding of outdoor advertising requirements where chromatic boldness, typographic clarity, and immediate message comprehension function as primary success criteria within the constrained attention economy of transit environments and street-level pedestrian contexts, the electric lime green chromatic choice operates symbolically to suggest both environmental vitality and digital-native energy, this particular green eschewing the darker forest tones traditionally associated with ecological messaging in favor of a more vibrant technologically-inflected hue that bridges natural and digital worlds, the geometric compositional strategy particularly evident in the left panel demonstrates clear debt to constructivist and De Stijl asymmetrical balance principles while translating those modernist formal vocabularies into contemporary flat design language, the diagonal white bands cutting across the saturated green field create dynamic visual pathways that guide the eye while simultaneously functioning as containers for brand name repetition, this repetition serves mnemonic purposes essential to brand recall while the varied orientations prevent monotonous regularity, the right panel's shift to centered smartphone interface visualization acknowledges the mobile-first reality of contemporary e-commerce while the simplified category icons communicate platform breadth across fashion, accessories, jewelry, and art merchandise categories, the recurring curved bracket motif enclosing the device suggests both technological scanning functionality and gestural selection interface patterns familiar to contemporary smartphone users, throughout both compositions the typographic voice maintains consistent sans-serif clarity appropriate to rapid legibility demands, the pairing of bold environmental messaging with streamlined digital interface presentation creates productive tension between planetary responsibility and technological convenience, suggesting that sustainable shopping need not require sacrifice of contemporary digital conveniences, the work's formal accomplishment lies particularly in its successful chromatic audacity, the electric green achieving visibility and memorability within visually cluttered urban environments while maintaining sufficient sophistication to avoid appearing garish or unsophisticated, what underlying value systems might this identity activate in viewers navigating between consumer desire and environmental consciousness, and how does the visual language bridge what could be perceived as competing imperatives toward both marketplace participation and planetary stewardship.

Production Technology
The design was developed through an iterative, research-driven process combining user-centered design methodologies with brand systems thinking. We crafted a custom wordmark and crescent-based motif, then extended it into iconography, illustrations, and UI components.
Design Challenge
The biggest challenge was creating a cohesive brand with visual appeal for such a wide set of users and scenarios, all while making sustainability feel exciting. Socially, we had to overcome the perception that eco-conscious products lack style or convenience.
Project Duration
This project was completed over a period of 8 weeks in London, United Kingdom, starting in December 2024.
Operation Flow
Bright green draws in shoppers, while rich purple guides sellers. The crescent shape moves playfully across screens and print, helping users navigate and recognise the brand instantly. Whether browsing the app, seeing a billboard, or receiving a package, every touchpoint should feel connected, clear, and visually exciting.
Research
We conducted qualitative user research to understand how younger consumers engage with sustainable products. Our goal was to make sustainability more appealing and accessible. Using surveys and interviews we found a strong preference for bold visuals, intuitive design, and brands with purpose.
Inspiration
Inspired by a desire to reposition sustainability as aspirational rather than sacrificial, especially for digital natives, this work draws from extensive user interviews, surveys, and persona development, and identified key visual and behavioural cues that resonate with this audience. Influenced by the mobile-first design language of rounded forms, bold contrast, and playful minimalism, we translated these digital-native aesthetics into a unified brand system across both screen and print.
