About Skyline Bay Community Center
Skyline Bay is a community center built in Chengdu, China. The building has a construction area of 920 square meters and a two-story double-height layout that forms a semi-enclosed space with partitions but no full separation. The facade is clad in silver-white aluminum plate and champagne gold perforated aluminum plate, shaped into flowing curves that recall butterfly wings. Curved lines continue inside, creating quiet corners for reflection. The design draws on the nearby Shaxi waterway and wetland park and follows a waterfront island concept.
FTA Group's Skyline Bay Community Center exemplifies the contemporary pursuit of architecture as sculptural expression, situating itself within the broader movement toward fluid, biomorphic design that has transformed early twenty-first century civic and cultural buildings worldwide. The structure appears to participate in an ongoing dialogue between organic natural forms and advanced construction technologies, its sweeping canopy suggesting both the protective gesture of sheltering wings and the mathematical precision of parametrically generated surfaces. The technical achievement evident in the dramatic cantilever, which extends the upper floor outward in a continuous spiral without visible structural support from below, speaks to sophisticated engineering integration that allows formal ambition to be realized without compromising architectural purity. The compositional relationship between the pristine white building envelope and the dark reflective water feature demonstrates a refined understanding of how architecture can extend its presence through mirrored surfaces, effectively doubling the visual impact while creating a contemplative threshold zone between the urban environment and the interior program. The integration of mature specimen trees within the composition suggests a commitment to biophilic design principles, positioning living organic forms as essential counterweights to the geometric precision of the built structure. - Modern material techniques bring new expressions to traditional elements, and numerous curves flow around the facade, breaking the stereotype of a square house. SkylineBay is eager to break free and pursue freedom, and its architectural form with a sense of design and extreme aesthetics updates the current modern architectural style. The future-oriented superfluid curve facade can bring a soft and friendly feeling to people to fully show its difference from the surrounding similar products and bring different sensory effects.

- The project started in December 2021 in Chengdu and finished in July 2022 in Chengdu
- Operation Flow
- The entrance uses the front space to present the initial image of the project and create a sense of belonging and anticipation. While the internal space has an independent and complete flow line, its core function is always actively interwoven with the flow line through the space volume. The interior design adopts circular curves, creating visual beauty while leaving a corner for people to meditate, creating a sense of solitude. Moreover, it forms an independent and semi-enclosed island space, catering to customers' personal and noble experience demands. People can not help but stop to stay, explore its mystery, leaving endless reverie, but also the spire circle crowd gather a place of platinum social place.

- This project echoes Shaxi and the Wetland Park, builds the concept of ‘Water Island’, and creates a high-end dynamic intelligent community, the Waterfront Ecological Island: the melodious melody and romantic rhythm of Shaxi located to the north of the plot are extracted to create an amazing trend of science and technology life together with science and technology art, and trigger customers' beautiful imagination of waterfront charm and science and technology life style.
