About Seasun Interior Design
Seasun is an office interior design for a video game publisher in China, covering an area of 6532 square meters. Anime motifs, bright colors and varied interactive features reflect the culture of the company. Yellow, green and blue accents mark each functional area and are linked by smooth color transitions. Ceilings, carpets and desks recall video games and create a relaxed atmosphere. The walls are made of acoustic felt panels shaped into geometric forms, which absorb noise and also serve as soft decoration. The design aims to support comfort and working efficiency.
Seasun Interior Design by HEY Corp. emerges from contemporary commercial interior practice where spatial programming must simultaneously address functional requirements and experiential aspirations, creating environments that balance professional utility with sensory delight. The work demonstrates particular accomplishment in its orchestration of the ceiling plane as primary architectural gesture, employing the rhythmic repetition of linear elements to establish visual tempo while managing acoustic properties and concealing mechanical systems within an aesthetically integrated solution. The chromatic strategy reveals sophisticated understanding of color psychology in commercial contexts, deploying a predominantly neutral palette of charcoal, concrete gray, and black that projects professionalism while introducing precisely calibrated moments of chromatic intensity through vermillion seating elements, amber illumination, and golden textile accents that prevent sterility and invite lingering engagement. The selection of the distinctive lip-shaped rockers suggests a design philosophy that values playfulness and conversation-starting elements within otherwise refined environments, perhaps referencing the legacy of Pop Art's embrace of everyday objects transformed through scale and context. The translucent orange partition functions as both spatial divider and chromatic event, filtering views to the adjacent zone while contributing to the warm-cool dialogue that animates the space. - This project is an office design for Seasun Games, a leading video game publisher in China. Based on the gaming culture of Seaun, the designers use different color schemes and elements of video games to create a vibrant, comfortable and healthy office area that features Japanese anime, vigorous colors and diverse ways of interaction.

- Production Technology
- Evocation as a technique is ingeniously used in the project. The ceilings, carpets and desks create associations with video games and bring a sense of nostalgia, which enhances the atmosphere of the interior space and helps relieve pressure of employees. As places for working, office rooms also require good sound insulation. Thus, the walls are made of acoustic felt panels sculpted into interesting geometric shapes, which not only achieve noise absorption but also serve as a soft decoration.
- Design Challenge
- The project manages to create a personalized, vibrant office space through the use of dynamic colors. Yellow, green, blue and other bright colors are dotted in each functional area which is seamlessly connected through the transition of colors, showcasing the corporate image of a leading Internet company. The simple yet creative furniture adds elegance and energy to the office environment, offering employees an efficient, inspiring working experience while stimulating their creativity.
- Project Duration
- The project began its design in June and construction in August 2021. It was completed in the city of Zhuhai in November.
- Operation Flow
- 1. Based on the functions and characteristics of the area, the designers use a variety of colors to give more personality to the space and create a sense of freshness and vitality through the contrast of colors.
2. The video game elements are either displayed directly to enhance the environment and relieve the pressure of employees, or hidden somewhere waiting to be discovered, giving people a surprise and bringing them the purest joy. - Research
- With the change of lifestyles and the improvement of life quality, people start to have new requirements for a modern office room. A spacious, bright, comfortable and aesthetic office space can make working more pleasant and directly improves the efficiency of employees. Additionally, most office rooms of Kingsoft, one of the earliest Internet software companies in China, have a simple, personalized and humanistic design.

- 1. Use elements of anime, vibrant colors and diverse ways of interaction to highlight the role of Seasun as a game developer and its corporate culture and spirit.

Starting with creating a nice atmosphere through an emotional design approach, the designers strive to invigorate the office space and fill both emotional and functional needs for an office room, thereby improving the mood and work efficiency of employees and promote the development of the company.
