About Hilton Koti Curio Interior Design Project

Hilton Koti Curio is an interior design project for a 3000 square meter luxury hotel in Gramado, Brazil. The design draws on the misty landscapes and mountains of the region. Organic shapes in woodwork, lighting and plaster recall the movement of mist. Regionally sourced wood and fabrics made from recycled PET bottles support a sustainable approach. Advanced woodworking methods and adaptive lighting were used, and local artisans contributed to the work. The layout balances communal and private areas to support interaction and rest.

Linda Martins's Hilton Koti Curio Interior Design Project emerges from the contemporary discourse surrounding biophilic hospitality design, where the integration of organic forms and living elements with sophisticated architectural intervention creates environments that nurture human wellbeing while expressing refined aesthetic sensibility. The designer demonstrates exceptional command of atmospheric manipulation through her treatment of the ceiling plane, where undulating illuminated channels transform what might otherwise be a conventional overhead surface into a dynamic sculptural presence that suggests natural phenomena, perhaps the rippled surface of water seen from below or the graceful striations of wind-carved geological formations. This commitment to organic geometry extends throughout the spatial composition, from the generous curves of the verdant upholstered seating to the abundant indoor plantings that anchor the right portion of the space with vital green presence. The chromatic strategy reveals sophisticated understanding of hospitality psychology, deploying a carefully calibrated warm palette that evokes comfort and welcome while maintaining the visual interest necessary to sustain engagement across extended occupancy periods. The illuminated library wall serves multiple functions simultaneously, providing practical task lighting for reading, creating atmospheric ambient luminosity, and establishing a cultural signifier that positions the space within traditions of cultivated leisure and intellectual pursuits. Material selections demonstrate attention to tactile diversity, the cool smoothness of polished surfaces balanced against the warmth of natural timber, the yielding softness of velvet upholstery, and the organic textures of woven jute, creating an environment that rewards not merely visual but haptic experience. The furniture arrangement suggests careful consideration of social dynamics, offering intimate conversational groupings while maintaining visual porosity that connects occupants to the broader spatial volume. How might one's sense of time and obligation dissolve within such an envelope of warmth and organic embrace?
