About Fluid Space Sales Center
Fluid Space is a sales center interior located in the Yaohai District of Hefei, China, covering 2376 square meters. The layout avoids fixed partitions and uses soft, continuous curves inspired by the form of the Fei River. Smooth lines shape a rhythm of high and low volumes, while a winding spiral staircase reads as a long ribbon and links the levels. Stone, glass, solid wood with bright paint, leather and fine metal are combined throughout. The design aims to create an orderly and artistic space that invites interaction between people and the interior.
Situated within the evolving discourse of parametric design and biomorphic architecture, Kris Lin's Fluid Space Sales Center exemplifies the contemporary synthesis of digital fabrication possibilities with experiential spatial philosophy, creating an environment where commercial function transcends transactional utility to become immersive aesthetic experience. The ceiling installation demonstrates remarkable technical achievement, with each wooden slat precisely positioned to create continuous wave-like undulations that suggest natural phenomena, perhaps ocean swells, wind-sculpted dunes, or the interior of a chambered nautilus shell, inviting associations between built environment and organic form. This approach reflects broader movements in contemporary architecture that seek to dissolve the historical opposition between geometric rationality and natural irregularity, employing computational design tools to generate forms that feel simultaneously inevitable and surprising. The material palette reveals sophisticated restraint, with the warm honey tones of the timber installation conversing elegantly with the cool neutrality of the concrete floor, while the central display platform and peripheral furnishings maintain chromatic coherence through carefully calibrated values. The integration of the architectural scale model at center, complete with verdant miniature landscaping, creates a mise-en-abyme effect where viewers observe a representation of architecture within architecture itself, encouraging contemplation of relationships between reality and representation, between the experiential space surrounding them and the projected spaces they might inhabit. The generous natural light flooding through the curtain wall democratizes illumination throughout, avoiding theatrical spotlighting in favor of even ambient luminosity that allows the architectural gesture itself to command attention. One might consider how the flowing overhead forms create a sense of shelter and protection while simultaneously suggesting movement and transformation, perhaps metaphorically connecting to themes of home, journey, and aspiration that resonate within the real estate presentation context.

The integration of streamline shape creates more possibilities for the space. - Every space can be seen everywhere in the atmosphere of contemporary art, with the help of sharp lines and stone, glass collocation, showing the aesthetic sense of interwoven lines of sight. With modern art as the theme, we use high-quality solid wood bright paint, leather and stone, exquisite metal to create elegant and noble quality. The bar area also follows the dynamic changes of the wooden ocean, full of delicate design aesthetics.
- Design Challenge
- The designer applies the feeling of waves and fluctuations in the water to the indoor space. The neat wooden waves at the top of the negotiation area are interwoven with the rhythmic visual aesthetic feeling in the clouds and running water. The vitality and appeal of the curve are embodied here. Designers use modern design techniques to create a dynamic and rich space artistic conception, which increases the interactivity between people and space.

- Operation Flow
- In the design of interior space, the designer combines soft and smooth lines to create a streamlined space with a strong sense of rhythm and beauty. Interior space design deduces the quintessence of modern nature through concise and smooth form and language. The winding and flexible rotating staircase gives space a sense of future, just like a long and gentle ribbon, which visually presents a vast continuity, and the flowing aesthetic perception enhances the style of space.
- Research
- Hefei is the capital city of Anhui Province and an innovative capital with international influence. The project is located in the eastern part of the main urban area of Yaohai , Hefei City, far from the noise of the city center. The northeast direction of the project is separated from the Yaohai Wetland Park. It has superior natural environment and ecosystem. A large area of green landscape belt is planned on both sides of the building to construct a quiet and fresh natural space environment.
- Inspiration
- The project is located in the eastern part of the main urban area of Yaohai District, Hefei City, far from the noise of the city center. Inspired by the design of "Fei river form" of Hefei Mother River, the designer follows the concept of art design of Fei river curve and introduces the art elements of flowing space into the interior space. Through the combination of geometric art elements and interior functions, the designer creates an orderly, humanistic, artistic and aesthetic space.
