About Cloud Atlas Sales Office

Cloud Atlas is a sales office located in Qidong, Nantong, covering 1221 square meters. The curve is the main design logic of the interior, and interlacing arcs create a space with rhythm and movement. Light colors form the base, with blue-green accents for a fresh atmosphere. The theme draws on the whale, an ancient sea creature, which inspires the artistic chandeliers above the sand table area. Main materials include wood veneer, stone, special paint, handmade brick, mosaic, hard-covered wallpaper and metal.

Zeajoy Cultural Communication Co., Ltd's Cloud Atlas Sales Office represents a remarkable achievement in contemporary commercial interior design, demonstrating how biomorphic architectural language can transform functional retail space into immersive experiential environment, the work positions itself within the ongoing evolution of organic modernism and parametric design thinking that has increasingly influenced luxury hospitality and branded retail contexts in recent decades, drawing upon traditions of sculptural space-making that trace through masters of curvilinear form while embracing contemporary digital fabrication possibilities that allow such complex geometries to be realized with precision, the dominant ceiling installation demonstrates exceptional technical accomplishment in its seamless flowing wood veneer application across dramatically curved surfaces, the grain alignment and finish quality suggesting meticulous craftsmanship that honors material authenticity while achieving forms that transcend conventional carpentry, the chromatic strategy reveals sophisticated understanding of atmospheric warmth creation through analogous color relationships anchored in natural material palette, the interplay between enveloping wood warmth and crisp white architectural counterpoint establishes dynamic tension that prevents either element from overwhelming the spatial experience, grey marble provides essential neutrality while brass metallic accents introduce measured preciousness appropriate to premium positioning, perhaps most significantly the design achieves remarkable balance between theatrical spatial drama and functional hospitality requirements, the reception counter remains clearly legible and accessible despite the sculptural complexity surrounding it, vertical screening elements provide necessary service area definition while maintaining visual permeability that welcomes approach, lighting design merits particular recognition for its integration into architectural form, the central oculus transforms functional illumination into experiential focal point while ambient sources remain invisible yet effective, viewers may find themselves contemplating how the organic forms suggest natural phenomena including geological formations, ocean waves, or cloud formations, inviting meditation on relationships between human craft and natural processes, the work poses generative questions about how commercial environments might aspire to experiential richness that elevates quotidian transactions into memorable encounters with designed beauty

Design Challenge
After the design is brought into the space with commercial thinking, it seems to create a new world, not only the penetration of the sense of design, but also the free-emotional stocking area. The warm colors are embedded in the theme of the space, and the exquisite mood of life flows in the single sofa and single chair.
Project Duration
The project started in February 2021 in Nantong and finished in June 2021 in Nantong.
Operation Flow
The shape of the curve is an important design logic that runs through the space. The interlacing of beautiful arcs creates an active space full of rhythm and dynamics. It is not only a visual feast, but also a perfect landing of imagination.
Research
The whale as a huge ancient creature born in the sea, iIts freely leaping body symbolizes the force of life to move forward. It achieves a perfect balance between light and heavy, and it has also become the source of inspiration for the artistic chandeliers in the sand table area. The huge volume, dense and light footed woven materials are constantly constructed, conveying a positive force to people.
Inspiration
The design team fully considers the interactive relationship between the city, architecture, landscape and interior. It not only traces the past of the city, but also focuses on the present, and more imaginative future residential trends. The space continues the cultural IP of "Kun" in "Xiaoyaoyou", combining "Kun" with Qidong's seaside portal, and unfolding in sequence around the "Xunkun Tetralogy" opera.
