About Central Park Sales Office

Central Park is a sales office and reception centre located in Xi'an, China. The interior covers 1500 square metres and stands beside a large urban ecological park of about 113.4 hectares, which serves as a natural landscape resource. The plan follows the visitor route in four stages: introduction, elucidation, transition and summary. Each stage is expressed through a pavilion, falling leaves, lake water and a single tree. A glazed leaf installation runs through the space, moving from the entrance wall to the foyer ceiling and into the pool.

Kris Lin's Central Park Sales Office represents a distinguished achievement in contemporary interior architecture, demonstrating how spatial design can orchestrate profound experiential narratives through the thoughtful deployment of material, light, and geometric rhythm. The installation positions itself within traditions of architectural screens and filtered light environments that span cultures—from the carved wooden mashrabiya of historic architecture to the timber lattice constructions found throughout East Asian building traditions—while achieving a distinctly contemporary interpretation that speaks to present-day spatial sensibilities. The technical accomplishment manifests most evidently in the three-dimensional brick lattice system, where individual modules have been assembled into an expansive overhead and vertical surface that transforms structural necessity into poetic expression, the regular geometric intervals creating a visual music of repetition and variation as light plays across the dimensional relief. The chromatic strategy demonstrates sophisticated understanding of temperature relationships, positioning the warm terracotta envelope against the cool blue twilight visible beyond the glass perimeter, establishing the interior as a zone of warmth and shelter while maintaining visual connection to the exterior environment. The incorporation of natural elements—the flowering tree rising from its reflective pool, the volcanic stone specimens arranged with apparent spontaneity—introduces organic counterpoint to the architectural geometry, suggesting philosophical engagement with themes of nature and artifice, permanence and ephemerality. The spatial sequence proposes a ceremonial approach, with the receding perspective drawing visitors along an axis of discovery toward illuminated depths. This work invites contemplation of how architectural environments shape human experience, and how material choices carry cultural resonance across time and tradition.

Unique Properties
The project is located at Xi'an, next to Xi'an's largest urban ecological park, about 113.4hectares, and has become a natural landscape resource for the project. Every inch of land and every plant has got a very poetic expression. The designers hope to use the "Central Park" as the theme, combined with the guest line, and use the "Introduction, elucidation, transition, and summary" design method to create a reception center with park experience.

Production Technology
The glazed leaf installation art runs through the entire space to create a progressive space charm. From the side of the foyer, the leaves begin to fall, and then to the foyer ceiling, and finally falls in the foyer pool. The orderly layout pendant design looks like that as if the leaves blown into the space by the wind. The charm not only plays an artistic role in the space, but also plays a role in "undertaking" the next space.
