About Auto Motion Car Showroom
A showroom where luxury cars are displayed and sold. Conference rooms, office, rest rooms, etc. are arranged around the circular exhibition space. The design of the ceiling is noteworthy. The ceiling is divided into two sections, a high section and a low section, and the high section is made by stacking thinly sliced panels, with indirect lighting at the joints between the panels creating a floating feeling. There is also a negotiation room that is seamlessly connected to the exhibition space, and it was designed with meticulous calculations to stimulate buyers' desire to purchase.
Within the distinguished tradition of contemporary commercial interior architecture, this automotive showroom by SHUNSUKE OHE exemplifies the refined intersection of gallery aesthetics and luxury retail experience that has emerged as a defining characteristic of premium brand presentation spaces in the twenty-first century. The designer appears to engage thoughtfully with the phenomenological tradition of architecture, creating an environment where material warmth and spatial generosity collaborate to transform commercial transaction into contemplative encounter. The sophisticated deployment of a warm timber ceiling element against cool grey and white surfaces suggests awareness of thermal chromatic theory and its psychological effects upon occupants, the honey-toned wood perhaps evoking associations with craft tradition and natural authenticity that counter the industrial origins of the displayed automobiles. The lighting design demonstrates considerable technical accomplishment, with concealed cove illumination creating ethereal luminous frames around geometric ceiling forms while maintaining sufficient ambient illumination to reveal the precious paint finishes of the vehicles below without harsh reflections or glare. The vertical fin treatment along the rear wall introduces visual rhythm and textural complexity while maintaining the restrained material palette that characterizes the overall scheme. One might observe how the spatial organization establishes distinct zones through subtle floor color variation, suggesting different programmatic functions while maintaining visual continuity throughout the expansive volume. The careful positioning of vehicles with generous negative space between specimens invites circumambulation and close examination, treating each automobile as a sculptural object worthy of extended contemplation. The reflective glass partition visible in the background creates spatial layering and visual depth, hinting at additional display areas beyond while maintaining the composed tranquility of the primary viewing space. This environment invites consideration of how commercial architecture might elevate everyday transactions into meaningful aesthetic experiences, asking visitors to contemplate the relationship between functional objects and the spaces designed to honor them.

- The design focuses on how to make the products look attractive and stimulate customers' desire to buy. Above all else, a mechanism is needed to draw customers into the store. Therefore, visibility from the outside is also very important. For example, the high, impactful, floating ceiling panels in the store and the fantastic indirect lighting around them are designed with such points in mind.
