Ikibazo cy'Ishusho: The main purpose of the foundation is to promote a widespread culture of photography, starting with the Alinari collections, while preserving their authentic historical and cultural value, their physical integrity, and guaranteeing the best conditions for increased awareness of and access to them. So the design had to reflect the long history behind and at the same time to stand out from the previous brand.
Ubushakashatsi: The previous brand was a private subject. The new one is a public institution held by Tuscany Region which recognised the exceptional cultural value of the Alinari holdings and resolved to purchase them and began an operation of cultural policy and investment, which has saved this archive, one unique in the world for its size and value, from dispersal and dismemberment, while also guaranteeing its future use and accessibility.
Ibyatumye Habaho: The term photography comes from a Greek compound word, light and handwriting, literally "writing with light". Brand features are: Sculptural lettering, Black and white (light and shadow), Accent on "Alinari" word, Focus on the letter A (lowercase, as abstraction of the camera lens). The A is photo container to represent the huge and historical Alinari archive.
Igihe cy'Umushinga: The project started in October 2020 in Florence (Italy) and it is still going on.
Uburyo bw'Imikorere: It's a brand identity project to identificate a new public subject.
