A prepaus de Flora Illustracion

Flora es una illustracion de fantasia per promòure la creativitat e la narracion de l'artista, que representa la florason de la microbiòta gastrointestinala fertilizada per l'environament gastric brasejan. La florason es representada per de petals de Bacteroidetes, Bifidobacteriam e Enterococcus, de pistils de Lactobacillus e d'estames d'Enterococcus faecalis pausats sus de tiges d'Escherichia coli. La flor meteissa emerge sus de tiges de Clostridium. Los Bacillus Cereus, de bacterias longas en forma de baston dins lor estadi arthomitus, se fisan per de fibras a l'epitèli intestinal, creisson de manièra filamentosa e esporulan.

Proprietats Unicas: Creating a visual pun on the idea that gastric flora might be blossoming flowers in the digestive tract, the artist set out to create a flower composed of the bacteria found in the gut.

Tecnologia de Produccion: Created using Cinema 4D, a 3D modeling program, and Photoshop on a Mac.
Desaffo de Dissènh: Creating a flower that both looked like a flower, but was also easily recognized as being constructed of recognizable bacteria required a creative balance between the two.
Recèrca: The artist researched the common bacteria, called flora, of the gut. The artist studied electron micrographs depicting these different bacteria, and created 3D models of the different bacteria. The artist arranged the 3D-modeled bacteria to construct a flower, using different bacteria for different parts of the flower. The churning gastric juices and primordial environment of the gut comprises the environment from which the flower grows. The flower springs forth from the microvilli found in the lining of the small intestine.
Inspiracion: The artist is a certified medical illustrator working in the advertising and marketing of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Self promotional work created for clients, and prospective clients, is a chance to promote the artist's creativity, artistry and storytelling skills in visual science.
Durada del Projècte: The project was in development for three weeks at the artist's studio in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, USA.
Flux Operacional: The illustration is meant to be enjoyable and memorable by playing on the pun of gastric flora.
