Over Song Emmertas

Song is een emmertas geïnspireerd op de oosterse zwaluwvlieger en zijn lichtgewicht bamboeframe. Een O-vormige steunstructuur aan beide zijpanelen maakt gebruik van soepel, veerkrachtig leer om een strak silhouet te behouden zonder stijve voeringen, terwijl het achterpaneel zacht aanvoelt. De tas is gemaakt van veganistisch leer, geproduceerd uit gerecycled oceaanplastic en andere afvalmaterialen, met een getrommelde oppervlaktetextuur. Een kruissluitsysteem met een dubbele staafdruksluiting en een magnetische gesp zorgt voor veilige opslag en snelle toegang. Een afneembare schouderband en een uitneembaar binnenetui maken gebruik in de hand of crossbody mogelijk.

Unieke Eigenschappen: The bag innovatively integrates the lightweight yet sturdy construction of Eastern swallow kites, translating the U shaped stress distribution observed in bent bamboo strips into an O shaped support structure. The structure adopts supple, resilient leather for self support, enabling the bag to maintain a crisp silhouette. A cross lock system combines a mortise and tenon dual bar snap with a magnetic buckle for secure storage and quick access, meeting user needs through humanized details.

Onderzoek: Traditional bags often struggle to balance softness with crispness: too soft and they are prone to deformation, too rigid and comfort is compromised. In response, this product innovatively draws inspiration from the swallow kite, using supple leather to create a structure that provides moderate support while ensuring softness and a minimalist aesthetic. Combined with a cross lock system and an adjustable strap, it fully meets the demand of modern users for both aesthetic appeal and practicality.
Inspiratie: Inspired by the Eastern swallow kite, this bag translates the kite making logic, where lightweight bamboo strips are scientifically arranged to lend soft paper both stability and tension, into an O shaped support structure on both sides, reinterpreting the functionality and aesthetic appeal of traditional craftsmanship in a modern manner.
Projectduur: The product was first designed in June 2018 and launched in early 2019. It underwent an iterative redesign in Beijing in June 2025, and the new 3.0 version will be officially launched in Beijing in March 2026.
Werkproces: The bag introduces a dual security cross lock system: a horizontal mortise and tenon double bar snap supports one handed locking or unlocking, while a vertical magnetic buckle allows one second opening or closing. This ensures secure storage and convenient access.
With a detachable, adjustable strap and a removable inner pouch, the bag delivers multiple carrying options like handheld or crossbody and allows compact storage, easily adapting to daily commuting, casual outings, and business travel.
