Design Details
- Unique Properties
- Most cameras on the market have poor designs, causing users to feel uncomfortable and intimidated due to their rough and prominent shapes. However, the design of the Play is both functional and visually pleasing, making it suitable for modern architectural spaces. With a focus on appearance, it increases its appeal and positioning as a decorative item. The design philosophy of Ambient Intelligence incorporates the golden ratio - Fibonacci to promote contentment and facilitate easy living.
- Inspiration
- The Play camera design takes its core inspiration from Scandinavian design, focusing on simplicity, minimalism, and functionality. It aims to complement the art of living well by promoting a simple home environment filled with quality items and enhancing an unencumbered lifestyle that is free from excessive consumerism. - Challenge
- The creative challenges and the obstacles are that we not only balance the production feasibility and the technology but also ensure the aesthetics. Furthermore, each user has a different standard regarding aesthetics. This is a real challenge for us to develop a camera that can fit users' tastes. We have spent around 5.000 hours to work from idea, sketch, mockup and do EVT, DVT to final product. For software, we use AI technology and cloud computing to get the best features and best customer experience. Moreover, we use Ambient designs which we think will meet the current modern lifestyle trend. Beside, we also use a safety material for the housing – ABS plastic.
