The project occupies approximately 1,300 sq ft within a luxury retail setting, organized to support smooth circulation and a calming dining experience. The interior utilizes cnc fabricated modular millwork, sustainably sourced wood substrates, recycled composite surfaces, and mineral based wall finishes. Low voc coatings and water based adhesives enhance indoor air quality, while integrated high efficiency led lighting provides soft, glare free illumination. Dry assembly construction allows adaptability, durability, and long term material reuse.

The project was realized through an integrated digital design-to-fabrication workflow that ensured precision, efficiency, and sustainability. Cad-coordinated detailing guided prefabricated millwork and modular wall systems, reducing on-site waste and installation time. Cnc -fabricated components, low voc finishes, and mineral based coatings ensured material consistency and durability. Energy efficient led lighting was seamlessly integrated into architectural elements, while dry assembly construction methods support adaptability, longevity, and circular design principles.
Pilikia Hoʻolālā
The challenge was creating a wellness-focused, plant-based dining space within a fast-paced luxury retail district. Research explored how spatial restraint, calm circulation, and sustainable materials could reduce sensory overload while maintaining a refined identity. The result is a serene, efficient, and environmentally conscious dining model suited for high-profile urban settings.

This project is based on research about wellness, sustainable dining, and how calm spaces affect people. Ideas from biophilic design, material psychology, and plant-based culture helped shape a peaceful interior within a busy luxury retail setting. The design uses simple materials, smooth flow, and low-sensory elements to improve comfort and well-being, while low-impact materials support sustainable, mindful dining.
Hoʻoulu Manaʻo
The inspiration is a sculpted oasis in the middle of the city, where a serene Mediterranean morning meets a cinematic Beverly Hills boulevard at golden hour, reimagined as a contemporary café. Soft aqua walls, pale timber, and woven pendants evoke coastal light, sand, and sea breeze, while the glow of luxury boutiques, gallery culture, and hotel lobbies shapes the ambiance. Arched niches, long banquettes, and linear lighting create a gentle rhythm that calms the senses and places food and conversation at center stage, expressing a quietly confident sense of luxury.
Ka Lōʻihi o ka Papahana
Located in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California, the project began construction in February 2026 and is slated for completion in April 2026.

The restaurant’s layout encourages calm, intuitive movement and efficient service within a compact footprint. Guest flow follows a clear path from entry to dining, minimizing congestion and visual clutter. Seating balances privacy and connection, supporting flexible use throughout the day. Back-of-house circulation remains separate for seamless service. Lighting, acoustics, and material transitions subtly guide movement and foster a soothing, wellness-focused atmosphere.
