Dukkanmu muna da drawers cike da yadin da iyayenmu da kakanmu suka yi. An yi amfani da waɗancan doyley ɗin azaman kayan ado akan teburan kofi, saitin tv, ko kujerun hannu. A zamanin yau, suna da ƙimar motsin rai, amma ba amfani. Diana Sokolic ta yi mundayen cuff tare da yadin da aka saka tsakanin faranti biyu na Plexiglas na gaskiya. Kyawawan abubuwan da aka yi tare da ƙauna da haƙuri sun dawo da manufarsu ta haɗa abubuwan da suka gabata da na yanzu.

Game da Kyautar A' Design Award ta Tagulla

Zanen Lacey Mundayen Cuff ya lashe Kyautar A' Design Award ta Tagulla, wata karramawa mai tsananin daraja da ake bai wa zane-zane na musamman waɗanda ke da ƙirƙira, basira da hikima. Waɗanda suka lashe kyautar Tagulla kayayyakin fasaha ne masu ƙwarewa da ƙirƙira mai ban mamaki waɗanda ke tabbatar da babban gogewa, tunani da dabarun masu zanensu. Ana sa ran zanen Lacey Mundayen Cuff ya zama abu da ake girmamawa sosai, ake sha'awa da ƙauna, mai ƙwarewa da ƙirƙire-ƙirƙire. Wannan zane da ya lashe Kyautar A' Design Award ta Tagulla yana haɗa mafi kyawun ayyuka a fasaha, kimiyya, zane da fasahar zamani, kuma yana da kyau saboda kulawarsa ga cikakkun bayanai. Zanen Lacey Mundayen Cuff yana biyan buƙatu da kyau, yana taɓa sha'awa, yana jan hankalin zukata kuma yana jawo sha'awar sani.

Bayanin ƙungiyar, membobinta da cikakkun bayanai na fasaha da mai ƙirar ya bayar.

Siffofi Na Musamman: Our great grandmothers and grandmothers were brought up to play piano, read poetry and make lace. In the 60ies, their daughters kept those lace doyleys under the glass on coffee tables and commodes. Now we have drawers full of lace and needlework. It has no use in modernly furnished flats, it hass just an emotional value.
I have made cuff bracelets with lace between two plates of transparent Plexiglas.
In this way the lace has kept its transparency, gained new use, at the same time recognizing the women who made it and those who kept it for us.

I did not want to put delicate lace in a metal frame or any other heavy material. So I decided to put it between two pieces of transparent Plexiglas.
Ƙalubalen Zane: Since PMMA has to be heated in order to be bent, the most challenging part was how to heat it without burning the delicate threads of needlework and then how to connect the lace and the Plexiglas without the glue.
Bincike: This project was technically the most diffucult one for me. I was affraid that I will burn the lace while experimenting with different temperatures in order to bent the PMMA, since I could not experiment with something else except the lace itself.
PMMA plates have to be really hot in order to stick to one another, while the lace is between the layers.
I had to find lace doyleys which are not to big because cuffs have to be weareable.
Wahayi: From time to time I open the drawer with lace and needlework kept between sheets of thin white paper. I look at them with love and patience, expecting to hear them talking to me. I know that those pieces want to be used again, that they want to show their beauty. And one day it just happened! They talked to me!
