Acerca de Planetary Ring Anillo

Planetary Ring es un anillo elaborado con material meteorítico. El diseño se inspira en Muonionalusta, un meteorito férrico hallado en Suecia. Un rodamiento en miniatura, de un milímetro de diámetro, se aloja en el centro del disco de meteorito, de modo que este gira con los movimientos de quien lo lleva, a la manera de un planeta. La superficie conserva el patrón natural del meteorito férrico, obtenido mediante mecanizado y grabado con ácido. El meteorito se deja sin recubrimiento antioxidante, por lo que su textura evoluciona con el paso del tiempo. La estructura de soporte está realizada en plata 925 y se ensambla sin soldadura.

Propiedades Únicas: The Planetary Ring Meteorite Jewelry series includes rings and necklaces, which are originally designed by the jewelry brand of astronomical aesthetics HELIO. It is inspired by Swedish M meteorites – Muonionalustas which are the asteroids that fell on the earth with a history of billions of years.
It's cool to wear an asteroid fragment on your body. At the same time, as our body moves, it rotates like a planet with gravity and inertia. Unlike other jewelry, which is still, this design is alive.

Desafío de Diseño: There are two challenges in the design of planetary rings.How to polish an iron meteorite into a standard oblate shape, and at the same time, make the surface appear wonderful “Wedmanster pattern”? Grinding into oblate shape by CNC machining, then washing the surface with strong sulfuric acid, causing natural corrosion and forming irregular lines.
How to realize the smooth rotation of meteorites and simulate the rotation of planets? A miniature bearing is embedded in the center of the meteorite, and the diameter of the bearing structure is only 1 mm.Only after precise assembly can smooth rotation be realized.
Investigación: The main design style of the brand "HELIO" is "unisex", and the cosmic celestial body is the intentional element that can best represent this design style. It is magnificent and mysterious, and the gender difference of human beings becomes small and meaningless under this scale.Through cooperation with The Meteorologic Society, we have studied a large number of meteorite materials composed of different mineral elements, and analyzed their characteristics and product feasibility. Factors include raw material cost, processing technology, environmental protection, safety, etc. and M meteorite in Sweden was selected.
Inspiración: The Planetary Ring Meteorite Jewelry series is specially designed for young people who travel through the city and yearn for the unknown. This series is made of Swedish M meteorite that fell on the earth billions of years ago, through the model of Planetary Ring and the structural design of bearing rotation, the asteroid is resurrected on the body, and shrunk by hundreds of millions of times.
Duración del Proyecto: The project started in April 2020 in Beijin and finished in October 2020 in Beijin, and was exhibited in Taobao in November 2020.
