About Ilana Seleznev

Ilana Seleznev is an industrial and product designer who operates a professional practice centered on a rigorous methodological approach to form and function. Through her proprietary "Math of Design" framework, she explores the relationship between geometric constraints and organic morphology, often translating biological structures into functional objects. Her process incorporates a disciplined iterative sketching phase to isolate unique solutions within defined parameters. Seleznev has received international recognition for her work, including honors from the Muse Design Awards and the Wonder Global Design Awards. Beyond her studio practice, she serves as a professional judge for global design competitions, contributing to the establishment of industry standards and the evaluation of contemporary industrial innovation. Her work frequently utilizes 3D printing and advanced polymeric materials to bridge the gap between conceptual biological research and practical product manufacturing.
