Sobre Deconstruction of Door Centre d'Exposicions
Deconstrucció de la Porta és un centre d'exposició i vendes per a un promotor immobiliari, situat a Foshan, Xina. El disseny es basa en el caràcter xinès per a "porta", que marca una entrada i un canvi d'escena. Els traços del caràcter se separen i es reconstrueixen en una nova estructura. Les peces de fusta de faig s'uneixen mitjançant espiga i mortesa i es fixen amb dispositius addicionals. Llums lineals s'incrusten a les columnes. La fusta, el vidre i la llum donen forma al sostre, el podi, les parets i una taula d'exposició. Les dues plantes ocupen 539 metres quadrats i també funcionen com a botiga de productes culturals.

- Door, is not only the enterance of architects, but also the changing of space scene, while also be the meaning of city portal. The shape of DOOR is extended from the architect to interior, the designer deconstruct the Chinese character 'door', disassemble the strokes, and refactor, then creates a new structure design.

- The challenge is how to inlaid the linear light into the column while the light would not produces a sense of dislocation when it is reflected under the depiction of point.

- Designer, Robin and Fengzuo tried to deconstruct the chinese character, and using wood to reorganized the parts, after discussed with teacher of structure specialty from GAFA, the wood parts connected by tenon and mortise, and using extral fixing device to solid the structure.
- Inspiració
- The overall architectural appearance design is constructed based on the Chinese character 'men' door, which generates a strong sense of spatial hierarchy by deconstruct and refine the Chinese character. Based on the concept of the brand store to design a sales center, the wood material and the glass with a sense of science fiction are integrated with light and shadow, the atmosphere converts in appearance or in fact.
