የመኖሪያ ሕንፃ በጀርመን፣ ኡበርሊንገን በሚገኘው የሐይቅ ዳርቻ መንገድ ላይ ለሚገኝ የ17ኛው ክፍለ ዘመን ሕንፃ የተዘጋጀ የውስጥ ንድፍ ፕሮጀክት ነው። ሕንፃው ከ1957 ዓ.ም ጀምሮ ምግብ ቤትን አስተናግዷል። እድሳቱ የሕንፃውን ታሪክ በመጠበቅ ዘላቂነት ያላቸውን ዘዴዎች ተግባራዊ ያደርጋል። የነበሩት የድጋፍ አወቃቀሮች ተመልሰው ተሠርተዋል፣ እንዲሁም ታሪካዊ የቤት እቃዎች አዲስ አገልግሎት ተሰጥቷቸዋል። አሮጌ የእንጨት ምሰሶዎችና ምልክቶች ከውስጠኛው ንድፍ ጋር ተዋሕደዋል። በባር አካባቢ የሚታዩ የሰማያዊ ቀለም ድምጾች የሐይቁን ቀለማት የሚያንፀባርቁ ሲሆን፣ የተስፋፉ መስኮቶችም ወደ ውሃው ሰፊ እይታዎችን ይከፍታሉ።

- The building at Seepromenade 11 in Ueberlingen, dating back to the 17th century, has housed a restaurant since 1957 and has been owned by the Oexle family since 1920. The renovation preserved its history while embracing sustainability, with upcycled structural elements and repurposed furniture. The lakeside location influenced the design, with colors and materials reflecting the water’s hues. Enlarged windows offer stunning views, strengthening the connection between the building and the lake.

- The goal was to breathe new life into the building without losing the memories of the past. Upcycling played an important role: existing structural elements were carefully restored, and historic furniture was given a new purpose. Old wooden beams and insignia were harmoniously integrated to preserve the building's authentic charm, creating a bridge between the past and the present. The project was realized according to the phase sustainability of the German Sustainable Building Council. (In German Phase Nachhaltigkeit der Deutschen Gesellschaft fuer Nachhaltiges Bauen).

This was achieved through a thoughtful choice of materials and colors, especially in the bar area, where shades of blue reflect the water’s hues. Floor to ceiling windows offer captivating views, strengthening the connection with the lake. In the seminar area and vacation apartments above, the sensation of floating above the water enhances the visual and emotional bond with the serene surroundings.
