Umbhalo Wencwadi: I-Five Samurai umdwebo wodonga wedijithali owenzelwe indawo yokudlela yamaJapane. Umsebenzi wobuciko ukhombisa izithombe zamasamurayi amahlanu emi ngokuzola, ngaphandle kwezikhali, ukuze kugwenywe noma yikuphi ukubhekisela empini. Iqhwa namaqabunga ekhwindi ansimbi agoqa lezi zithombe futhi asikisela ubuhle obuthulile kanye nokudlula kwesikhathi. Umdwebo wenziwe ngesofthiwe yokudweba yedijithali futhi washicilelwa ukuze ufakwe odongeni olulinganiselwa ku-7253 mm ngobubanzi kanye no-2228 mm ngobude. Izithombe zibekwe endaweni ephakathi ukuze zihambisane nobuso bodonga obungalingani. Inhloso ukuvumela izivakashi ukuthi zizwe umoya wamandulo waseJapane ngesikhathi zidla.

Ugqozi: This is a piece of art based on a concept from the name of a restaurant - "Five Samurai". The image of the Samurai, a classic Japanese warrior, is presented with a strong sense of the polarised and contradictory role in the country’s traditional culture. It implies a significant vision of power and royalty, brutality and elegance, irrationality and total obedience. The sternly presence of the samurais in the pale beauty of snow outlines the sad reality of their tragic life. The golden colour leaves in the autumn have a declining sentiment, which has successfully illustrated the short and brief glory of samurais.
