Ucwaningo: In order to create the ring, it was necessary to examine how much the ring band could be tapered and still maintain the tension of the twisted setting while holding the gemstone. This was necessary because the setting was subject to considerable pressure and the spiral was not allowed to compress.
Ugqozi: The inspiration for this solitaire ring was to construct everything from one wire. It should be light and yet compact. An engagement ring should be created that is clear in its form and soft in its appearance. The ring should also be very comfortable and wearable at any occasion. It should not be the usual narrow and conical closed setting often chosen for engagement rings, it should move to a new type of setting that comes from the ring band itself.
Ubude Bephrojekthi: The project started in May 2018 and ended in July 2019. The ring is produced in Steinbach (Taunus), Germany.

The diamond should be firmly set, nothing should disturb the simplicity of the setting and the ring band and yet there should be tension in the statement of the ring.
