宁波城建档案馆是一座位于中国浙江省宁波市的档案馆建筑。设计将城市的历史诠释为一部建造的历史。建筑被理解为块体的组合,因此该档案馆由层层堆叠的块体构成,这些块体兼具空间与材料的双重属性。块体被归纳为三种类型:通透型、实体型与特殊型。项目用地面积6567平方米,地上十一层建筑面积17190平方米,地下两层建筑面积6405平方米。

独特属性: This design hopes to interpret history of Ningbo through a practice of fortification. Base on the understanding of urban and architecture, architects superimpose the two properties of 'space' and material to support the concept of Building Blocks from another new perspective, and this is used as a basic element of design.'Blocks' are divided into three categories: 'transparent', real and special block differently.
尺寸与包装: The total site area is 6567 sqm, which contributes 17190 sqm floor area on the ground and 6405 m2 floor area underground, with 11 floors and 2 floors respectively.

设计挑战: Archives, which is regarded as an important culture carrier of collecting and preserving history, has abundant historical and cultural significance. Ningbo Urban Development Archives is mainly used to collecting developing history of this city, that it is called “Fortification History”. So, the start of design in this project is how to represent the concepts about fortification.
灵感: City is composed by buildings, and buildings are constructed from different building blocks, which have special space and material attributes; hence, the history of city construction can be understood as history of fortification, and Ningbo Urban Development Archives is a collector of this history of fortification indeed. Base on the understanding of the city construction, we superimpose the two properties of 'space' and 'material' to support the concept of 'Building Blocks'.
