The Board 是一款为便携与收纳而设计的折叠滑板。板面由57个相互咬合的枢轴铰链构成。通过将铰链朝一个方向或另一个方向折叠，经典的巡航板造型即可转变为一个完美的圆形。在圆形状态下，The Board 可放入背包，也可存放于狭窄空间，或作为装饰物陈列于家中。其结构采用了铝、铁和塑料等材质。这一形态转换的过程赋予该设计鲜明的视觉魅力。

独特属性: The skateboard is limited by its appearance and it is inconvenient for users to carry.
The Board has a strong visual appeal of its transforming process. The structure makes it a completed circle which can be put in a backpack easily. Because of the circular appearance, it can be part of decorations at home or even place in the narrow space.

设计挑战: Biggest challenges was manufacturing its complex dynamic structure and is considering open-sourcing the design as a DIY kit for 3D printers.
研究: Transformation is not just the change in appearance, but also the consideration of factors such as space, time, and circumstance to strengthen the purpose of transformation and the psychological level. In today’s product design, in order to make transformable products satisfy the users’ need, the designers usually introduce the transformable features to make them easy to carry and multifunctional simultaneously.
灵感: Most of the users have the stereotype in the usage of the products. If we get rid of the general form changing, there will be a different scenario for the users. The form changing process gives the users visual feeling and the intensity of it will be different depend on the various structures.
项目周期: The design start in 2018 finish in 2019 July.
操作流程: The skateboard is made from 57 interlocking pivot hinges, by folding the hinges one direction or the other, transforming the classic cruiser shape into a perfect circle. Easy to fit in smaller places and even used for decoration.
