About Yunyang in Huanan Exhibition Center
The water line has been turned on and shifts through the whole site plan, shifts the emphasis the water history culture of Dan yang from commercial to social connecting to the nature. The mirror water courtyard accessible public open space to variability of activities.The results to encourage visitors to have memorable through the enjoyment of the diverse community. Art sculptures light up the communal atmosphere. The experience of the integration of tradition and modernity, is shuttle in nature, a journey chasing the light.
QIDI DESIGN GROUP's Yunyang in Huanan Exhibition Center represents an exemplary achievement in the contemporary dialogue between architecture and landscape, demonstrating how built form and cultivated nature might achieve profound synthesis through careful attention to spatial choreography, material sensitivity, and atmospheric calibration. The work participates in established traditions of garden pavilion design while advancing these conventions through distinctly contemporary means, the transparent architectural volume serving simultaneously as destination and viewing device, a place from which to contemplate the surrounding garden while itself becoming an object of contemplation within that garden. Technical accomplishment manifests throughout the composition, from the precise calibration of pathway geometry that transforms simple circulation into experiential narrative, through the sophisticated lighting design that activates edges and surfaces at multiple scales, to the masterful plant selection and placement that creates depth, texture, and seasonal interest across the visual field. The serpentine pathway merits particular attention as an element of compositional intelligence, its graceful curves providing both practical circulation and formal counterpoint to the rectilinear architecture, while its illuminated edges transform functional infrastructure into poetic gesture as daylight fades. Thematic resonances emerge around concepts of threshold and transition, the work exploring the phenomenology of moving between exterior and interior, natural and constructed, public and private realms. The choice of twilight as the represented moment seems especially significant, capturing that liminal temporal condition when categories become fluid and the designed environment reveals qualities invisible under harsher illumination. One might observe how the mature trees, retained and celebrated within the overall composition, suggest an ethic of continuity and respect for existing conditions rather than tabula rasa intervention, positioning the architecture as a guest within an established landscape rather than its dominating presence. Viewers are invited to consider how this work might transform their understanding of the relationship between buildings and the landscapes they inhabit.

- CREATIVE:
The ecological light valley and sea of flowers created by unfold towards municipal pavement . The art sculptures embellish the elegant irregular corridor increases the rhythm and vitality of experience of space.The illuminated starlight which casting the shadows the sheer face. Meanwhile, the wall became to symbolize the spirits of the water town. The leaf-shaped platform, shore water, flowing water. The multi-level stacking of waterscapes is access to all. When the light is sprinkled, the shadows of the green trees presented a magical spell.When sitting outside, the wind blows by the leaves and whispers, and the light strokes the earth, as if listening the nature concert.The gallery frame in the back yard is integrated with the two model houses. As part of the reception space, it can not only view the gallery, but also extend the experience space of the model house.
CHALLENGE:
In Dan yang,industrial culture is well developed. Initially, the design team concerned that how to interpret a landscape project represented of locality.Moreover, seamless mix of tradition and modernity .To fulfill the potentials of modern communities to the local area.Finally,to permanently preserve and reshape multi functional landscape. - Project Duration
- The project started in February 2020 and finished in June 2020 in Danyang,Jiangsu Province in China.
- Operation Flow
- Passing through the glass curtain wall,which mixed of modern and ancient rhythm and vitality of the space.The backfield with a huge amount of planting and multi-level water features with switching of different spatial feelings. The light from water surface refracts vary light and shadow through scenery wall.Glass walls and art sculpture at night further emphasized purity of the space.Sitting outside, the whispering and streams of the leaves blown by wind.The light stroke as if listening live concert of the nature.

- Research Background:
The project is located in the South China section of Dan-yang High-tech Zone, which is a new urban center planned by government. The surrounding transportation is relatively convenient, infrastructure is relatively updated.
Methods:
Glass and light to interpret the industrial culture, transit water to communicate tradition and modernity. To practice the continuous interaction between demonstration area and future residential era.
Tools:
The Mirrored water courtyard creates tranquility. In the meanwhile, glass curtain wall as the guideline of the pedestrians has increased the rhythm and vitality of the space.
The leaf-shaped platform emerges as the multi-level stacking of water features a communal and playable.
The gallery is extended with sample houses. The former one has converted into community gym for diversified life needs of the customers.

- The design introduces Danyang's water town culture and local lens industries in series. The translucent walls which came to symbolized the spirits of the water town where past and present weave a magical spell.The planting trees and water courtyard, and start an illuminated journey by the water level lights.The five scenes of landscape are interacting in the natural approach of artistic design, and truly realizing the integration community that conspires with the light and lives.
