About Vico Bathroom Furniture
Vico is a modular bathroom furniture collection designed for modern bathrooms. The lacquered body and drawers are resistant to scratches and moisture. Fully extendable soft-close drawers carry up to 30 kg and offer leather-covered interiors with integrated Led lighting. A metal-framed Led mirror with sensor control and smoked glass shelves complete the collection. The acrylic washbasin is antibacterial and easy to clean. Seven width options from 800 to 2400 millimetres allow Vico to adapt to different bathroom sizes.
The Orka Design Team's Vico Bathroom Furniture engages the evolving vocabulary of contemporary residential design, positioning itself within traditions of minimalist functional aesthetics while drawing upon Northern European sensibilities regarding material honesty, chromatic restraint, and the integration of utility with contemplative beauty. This floating vanity system demonstrates compositional intelligence through its modular structure, establishing visual rhythm through the alternation of sage green lacquered surfaces, warm blonde wood-grain panels, and strategic charcoal accents that together create a calibrated sequence of material textures and chromatic temperatures across the horizontal expanse. The design appears to reference lineages extending from Bauhaus functionalism through Scandinavian modernism to contemporary European bath furniture design, suggesting familiarity with traditions that privilege clarity of form, legibility of construction, and the elevation of everyday domestic rituals through thoughtful spatial and material orchestration. - Design Challenge
- Vico stands out from traditional bathroom furniture with its modular structure, customizable options, and functional design. The biggest challenge in the development of Vico was creating a flexible system that adapts to various bathroom sizes. To maximize storage without compromising on aesthetics and durability, materials such as a scratch- and moisture-resistant lacquered body and a hygienic acrylic washbasin were selected. Details like the Led-lit mirror and soft-close drawers provide comfort and ease of use, making Vico a perfect complement for modern bathrooms.

- The project started in December 2023 in Duzce and was completed in October 2024 in Duzce. It was exhibited at Unicera in November 2024.
