About Koepenick Waterfront Night Shots

Koepenick Waterfront is a series of night photographs showing a city skyline across the water. The series differs from the widely known night views of large cities such as New York, Shanghai and Singapore. Koepenick Waterfront presents a smaller and less known city that still offers interesting views. The photographs record the colors of the night, which usually appear only in darkness and through long exposures. The images were not heavily processed. Only alignment, spot and noise removal and adjustment of black levels and saturation were applied.

Unique Properties

The pictures differ in that it is not a well-known photos of large cities such as New York, Shanghai and Singapore with their skylines on the water, but a smaller city shows the interesting views even if it is unknown. The photos are to show the colors of the night which one usually only discovers when it is dark and makes long-term recordings.
