About Hbn Anti Aging Brightening Collection
Hbn is a packaging collection for anti aging and brightening skincare products. The design is inspired by vintage laboratory vessels, and it uses brown light resistant glass together with transparent PETG and PP recyclable materials. The Luminous Water bottle has a dual dose mechanism for daily and mask use. The Night Cream jar combines a vacuum bottle with an arched spatula to prevent contamination and waste. A weighted pump gives the Essence Milk controlled dosing. Semi matte and glossy finishes are applied without coatings or metallic decoration.
Within the contemporary discourse surrounding cosmetic packaging design, this collection emerges as a thoughtful meditation on the intersection of pharmaceutical heritage and modern beauty ritual, employing material choices that speak to both efficacy and sensory pleasure. The deliberate selection of amber glass references historical apothecary traditions wherein such vessels protected light-sensitive formulations, yet here the material transcends mere functionality to communicate premium positioning and environmental consciousness through its recyclable nature. The dusty rose label treatment may evoke associations with skin itself, suggesting gentle care and natural luminosity that aligns with the collection's brightening and anti-aging positioning. Compositionally, the arrangement demonstrates sophisticated understanding of visual merchandising principles, creating a cohesive family identity while allowing each product its distinct presence through proportional variation. The bilingual approach to typography reveals global market awareness, bridging cultural contexts through careful integration of Roman and logographic characters that maintain visual harmony rather than competing for attention. Surface treatment across closure elements, employing matte black finishes, introduces necessary gravitas that balances the warmth of amber and rose, suggesting serious scientific formulation beneath the aesthetically pleasing exterior. The terrazzo-style presentation surface introduces an unexpected textural counterpoint that grounds luxury in accessibility, perhaps suggesting the domestic bathroom counter where such products might ultimately reside. One might observe how the transparent pump mechanism on the central vessel reveals the product within, a design choice that builds trust through visibility while celebrating the formulation's own chromatic beauty. The collection invites consideration of how packaging design can simultaneously honor tradition, communicate efficacy, and create desire through material and chromatic intelligence.

- Production Technology
- The bottle uses highly transparent PETG and PP composite recyclable materials; brown light-resistant glass prevents photodegradation. The pump is a weighted composite assembly for precise dispensing. Semi-matte and glossy finishes distinguish product characteristics, with no coatings or metallic decorations to emphasize eco-friendliness and texture.
- Design Challenge
- The core challenge lay in realizing the dual-dose dispensing structure: the Droplet Mode required clearly separated drops, while the Stream Mode demanded a consistent, uninterrupted flow. This necessitated a precise balance between fluid viscosity, nozzle size, and internal sealing. Through repeated testing and structural refinement, a reliable experience was achieved with clear mode switching and zero leakage.
- Project Duration
- The project was completed in Shenzhen, China in 2025.
- Operation Flow
- The Luminous Water features a dual dose mechanism for daily and masking use. The Night Cream combines a vacuum bottle with an arched scraper to prevent contamination and waste. The weighted pump of the Essence Milk offers controlled dosing, and the semi transparent bottle allows easy residue check, enhancing usability and hygiene.
- Research
- The research focused on ingredient preservation and user pain points. Through material testing, structural innovation, and user surveys, a functional packaging system that offers light protection, freshness retention, contamination prevention, and scenario adaptability was developed, responding to trends in rational consumption and aesthetic evolution.
- Inspiration
- The design draws inspiration from vintage laboratory vessels and scientific instruments such as medicine bottles, light-proof jars, and observation windows. It translates the rational aesthetics of lab equipment into skincare packaging, conveying professional trust while adding warmth and ritual through curved lines and material details.
