Xinhe Group Headquarters

The Xinhe HQ is in Lihu, Fuyang. It's surrounded by small hills and has water on three sides. The building is designed to fit gently into the local landform.Inside, the office area makes the most of the beautiful lake view, offering a pleasant working environment. Outside, instead of being one large block, the building is divided into smaller parts and landscaped. There are six buildings, each 3 to 5 floors high. They are placed along the lake following the terrain, ensuring plenty of natural light and great views. The land was once a home for water birds. The way these birds spread their wings and their lively look inspired the design concept of a flying bird, which aligns with the client's goals. This HQ shows a new idea: office buildings can live in harmony with nature. By respecting and adapting to nature, the building becomes a link for a positive interaction with the natural world around it, demonstrating a new way of integrating architecture and the environment.
The land for this project used to be a habitat for water birds. The posture of their wings spreading and the sense of dynamism happen to match the client's ambition, so the design concept of the flying bird was thus determined. The Headquarter of the Xinhe proposes a new possibility, that is, the office building can interact harmoniously with nature. By respecting and conforming to nature, the building becomes a carrier for a good interaction with the natural environment.
