Ang Cultural Link ay isang kolaboratibong espasyo ng trabaho na dinisenyo para sa mga arkitekto at interior designer sa Manama, Bahrain. Ang 888 metro kuwadradong kompleks ay pinagsasama ang tradisyonal na mga prinsipyo ng disenyong Bahraini kasama ang kontemporaryong kasangkapan at mga likhang sining. Ang magkakahiwalay na gusali ay naglalaman ng mga pribadong opisina, mga co-working area, isang coffee shop, at isang aklatan ng materyales. Ang malalaking bintana ay nag-uugnay sa mga pinagsasaluhang lugar, samantalang ang mga materyales na sumisipsip ng tunog ay sumusuporta sa tahimik na pagtatrabaho. The layout draws on traditional Bahraini design principles, incorporating spatial organization that features a blend of enclosed volumes and open circulation paths. This design fosters a sense of community while promoting interaction throughout the space. Each furniture piece enhances the aesthetic value, while techniques such as material layering and the use of sustainable finishes contribute to a cohesive atmosphere.
Pananaliksik: The research for this project involved an exploration of materials commonly used in Bahrain, emphasizing local craftsmanship and sustainability. We conducted an analysis of indigenous materials like limestone, clay, and palm wood.
This investigation highlighted the importance of these materials in reflecting the region's heritage and how they can be effectively integrated into modern designs. By incorporating these local resources, we aim to create a workspace that resonates with the culture and supports environmental sustainability, ultimately strengthening the community's connection to its heritage.
Inspirasyon: Inspiration at Cultural Link is derived from its location near Bahrain Fort, reflecting the historical significance of the site and emphasizing local craftsmanship. The workspace is designed to foster creativity through a unique atmosphere that allows designers to explore new ideas while honoring the region's cultural heritage.
