Tungkol sa Concord Silid Home Economics

Ang Concord ay isang silid para sa home economics na idinisenyo para sa isang sekundaryang paaralan sa Hong Kong. Ang 1500 square foot na espasyo ay inayos sa palibot ng isang oval, isang hugis na pinili upang ipahayag ang pagkakaisa at pagsasama-sama. Ang lugar ng pag-aaral ay matatagpuan sa gitna ng oval, habang ang mga lugar para sa paglaba, pagbe-bake, paghahanda, at cafe ay inilagay sa palibot nito. Ang mga floor tile na may kulay light grey, dark grey, at wood grain ang nagmarka ng bawat zone at umaalingawngaw sa kurbadong kisame na kulay lake blue. Ang disenyong ito na nagwagi ng A' Design Award na Bronse ay nagsasama ng pinakamahuhusay na kasanayan sa sining, agham, disenyo at teknolohiya, at mahusay dahil sa pansin nito sa detalye. Ang Concord Silid Home Economics ay kahanga-hangang tumutugon sa mga pangangailangan, humahaplos sa mga hangarin, bumibighani sa damdamin at umaakit sa pag-uusisa.

Mga Natatanging Katangian: We believe every student have different potential. Students have various background and ability, there are unlimited possibility inside them. The Home Economics Room is expected to create a safe, inclusive and affiliated atmosphere. The designer choose an oval design that symbolize inclusion and togetherness. Students can use this room to cooperate and complement each other.

Hamon sa Disenyo: The Hong Kong education system is designed to be more quantitative in decades. School environment is uncharacterized and lacks attention to students needs. We think that every space should be user friendly and unique. The designer hope to activates a new learning experience for the students through the oval structure of Home Management room. Through better learning environment, students can learn different skills, build up confidence and develop correct values.
Pananaliksik: The one-way communication between teacher and students are not effective and decrease the interest in students to learn. School is not a factory; education should be student based to find out the potential from everyone. The newly designed Home Economics room can increase the efficiency of teaching and learning between teacher and students, as well as looking after individual difference. In the learning process, students develop interpersonal relationship, life skills that prepare them to blend into a harmonious society.
Inspirasyon: The whole space is structured by an oval. Students learn in this oval room and build up relationship. This design also provides a safe feeling for students. Lake blue curved ceiling increase the feeling of peacefulness. Outside the oval, recessed downlight surrounded everyone to provide warm spacing. We choose white, wood and lake blue as the main color in order to let students feel warm and comfortable while learning.
Tagal ng Proyekto: The project finished in Feb 2022 in Hong Kong Red Swastika Society Tai Po Secondary School.
Daloy ng Operasyon: In terms of planning the space, we divided different areas according to the oval. In the middle of the oval is the learning area. There are different areas outside the oval : the laundry area ,the baking area and the preparation area. The cafe area has professional level coffee machines for students to brew coffee and practice their latte art skills for their professional development. In addition, the designer hide a desk with power socket for the sewing class. The floor tile consists of light grey, dark grey and wood grain ovals to divide different areas. It corresponds the ceiling to increase the interest of space.
