Phephetso ya Moralo: The clearness of the design was one of the main intentions during the whole development period. That meant that no visible fastening elements were allowed. These objectives together required the invention of an ingenious, yet simple solution to completely hide the fastening elements for the poles. Probably this was the hardest part of the development.
Dipatlisiso: Until the final form of Era was realized, diverse prototypes has been constructed to get the best possible look. All the angles, number and diameter of poles, the final colors, the exact shape of the ring was researched in many ways. We have also made numerous experiments with the SLS technology, to reach the desired quality and perfect assembly tolerances for the manufacturing of the product.
Kgothaletso: The main idea of the quadruped is derived from nature. The circular rotation around a axis makes it look like a tornado. Regular repetition of lines at the base of stool has made it a modern sculpture
