Waa wax xiiso leh in la awoodo in la arko dhinacyo taariikhda halyeeyo iyo taariikh-dhaqameed iyada oo loo marayo aragti ka duwan. Taasi waxay horseeday abuuritaanka Sousmotif, gogol xafiil ah kaas oo lagu dhiirrigeliyo mowjadaha laga helo dharka dharka ee ay soo saarto guumaysi dhaqameedyada Waqooyiga Giriigga. Taariikhdu waxay ku dhex nooshahay makhaayad waxayna sameyneysaa waji cusub.

Sousmotif Jikada waa guuleystaha Abaalmarinta Birta ah ee A' Design Award, aqoonsi sharaf leh oo la siiyo naqshado wanaagsan oo buuxiya shuruudaha xirfadeed iyo kuwa warshadeed ee laga filayo hal-abuurro si wanaagsan loo naqshadeeyay. Guuleystayaasha Birta waxay muujiyaan xirfad weyn, takhasus sare, fahan khabiir iyo awood hal-abuur oo abuurayaashooda. Sousmotif Jikada waa hal-abuur la filayo inuu noqdo mid aad loo tixgeliyo, la ixtiraamo oo la jecel yahay, wax ku ool ah oo cusub. Naqshadahan ku guuleystay Abaalmarinta Birta ah ee A' Design Award wuxuu isku daraa hab-dhaqannada ugu wanaagsan warshadda wuxuuna leeyahay sifooyin farsamo oo karti leh oo ku xiran aqoon iyo hibo. Dhammaystirkeeda awgeed, Sousmotif Jikada waa mudan ixtiraam, waxaana loo naqshadeeyay inay keento hagaajin nololeed oo ka caawisa in adduunka laga dhigo meel ka wanaagsan.

- The idea that one coaster could be multiplied into two and also combine the two different materials or not into various combinations according to the user's aesthetics was very intriguing to me.

Because of the different nature of the materials, there was a lot of fine tuning that took place in order to reach the desired result. - Caqabadda Naqshadda
- The transition from the folklore past to the present situation made me to lean first to wood as a natural material which would be complemented with Plexiglas. Keeping in mind the factor of sturdiness and after several tests with different types of wood, okoume plywood seemed to be the finest solution. The wish to get the user to create hers or his personal touch according to how they will combine or not these different materials and shapes led us to the design of a well-balanced product with a profound reference to Greece's recent past.

- I was always intrigued by the technical skills of the users of the traditional looms in Greece and the fine and rich results they were able to deliver through a vast number of motifs created on textiles. My idea was to brake down these motifs into simplified forms that they would be able to live through objects of our everyday life.
- Dhiirrigelinta
- In search for a new generation of souvenirs that would bring up hidden aspects of our history, I came up with Soumotif. It is a coaster which is inspired by the motif found on textiles produced by a traditional loom in Northern Greece. The motif from a textile, is transformed into a 3D object, which is brought into our everyday lives through a coaster.

- The project started in March 2016 in Athens and finished in July 2016 in Athens, and was exhibited in It's all, oh so souvenir to me Vol. 4, Thessaloniki Greece
- Socodka Hawlgalka
- Each set consists of 4 coasters which by being able to be multiplied give us 8 coasters in total. When a coaster is placed on a surface, a negative or a positive footprint of the motif is created on it.
