Nezvekwa Sousmotif Coaster
Izvo zvinokatyamadza kuona kugona kuona nhoroondo dzenyika imwechete uye tsika dzakaitika kuburikidza nemaonero akasiyana. Izvo zvakakonzera kuumbwa kweSousmotif, coaster set iyo inofuridzirwa neiyo motif inowanikwa pane machira iyo inogadzirwa neyechinyakare chiuno muNorth Greece. Mubairo weSimbi we A' Design Award wakahwinwa ne Sousmotif Coaster, rukudzo runokudzwa runopiwa kumadhizaini akanaka anozadzisa zvinodiwa zvehunyanzvi neyeindasitiri zvinotarisirwa kuzvigadzirwa zvakagadzirwa zvakanaka. Vakunda veSimbi vanoratidza unyanzvi hukuru, hunyanzvi hwakakwirira, kunzwisisa kwevakachenjera uye kugona kwekugadzira kwevagadziri vavo. Sousmotif Coaster inotarisirwa kuva chigadzirwa chinokudzwa zvakanyanya, chinoremekedzwa uye chinodiwa, chinoshanda uye chine zvitsva. - The idea that one coaster could be multiplied into two and also combine the two different materials or not into various combinations according to the user's aesthetics was very intriguing to me.

Because of the different nature of the materials, there was a lot of fine tuning that took place in order to reach the desired result. - Changamire yeDhizaini
- The transition from the folklore past to the present situation made me to lean first to wood as a natural material which would be complemented with Plexiglas. Keeping in mind the factor of sturdiness and after several tests with different types of wood, okoume plywood seemed to be the finest solution. The wish to get the user to create hers or his personal touch according to how they will combine or not these different materials and shapes led us to the design of a well-balanced product with a profound reference to Greece's recent past.

- I was always intrigued by the technical skills of the users of the traditional looms in Greece and the fine and rich results they were able to deliver through a vast number of motifs created on textiles. My idea was to brake down these motifs into simplified forms that they would be able to live through objects of our everyday life.
- Chikurudziro
- In search for a new generation of souvenirs that would bring up hidden aspects of our history, I came up with Soumotif. It is a coaster which is inspired by the motif found on textiles produced by a traditional loom in Northern Greece. The motif from a textile, is transformed into a 3D object, which is brought into our everyday lives through a coaster.

- Each set consists of 4 coasters which by being able to be multiplied give us 8 coasters in total. When a coaster is placed on a surface, a negative or a positive footprint of the motif is created on it.
