Taicang Readzone je kníhkupectvo nachádzajúce sa vo vnútri obchodného domu v Taicangu v Číne. Kníhkupectvo má rozlohu 368 metrov štvorcových a je usporiadané vo forme kruhového divadla. Vysoké knižné steny a viacsmerné dverné rámy pripomínajú koncentrované scény mestských ulíc a pozývajú čitateľov na objavovanie. Kruhové línie pohybu sa spájajú s radiálnymi cestami a vytvárajú samostatné skupiny kníh a rôznorodé zóny na sedenie. Strop z nehrdzavejúcej ocele zmierňuje ťažký dojem z rozsiahlej konštrukcie. Flexibilné police, stoly a sedadlá podporujú individuálne čítanie, čítanie rodičov s deťmi aj stretnutia.

Moreover, book walls and multi-directional door frames, just look like concentrated urban street scenes, inviting readers to travel and explore, with distinct brand recognition. The designer also brings multiple scenarios, which accommodating not only individual readers, but parent-child reading and working meeting, etc. It furthermore, by virtue of rearrangement on cabinets, tables and chairs, literary salon and more colorful cultural exchanges creates a high-range experience. This feature also combined with the surrounding coffees and reading products provides multiplex type for the customer the commodity.

Except for function type, the designer has also introduced the third space concept into traditional culture, such as the universe-like theater design, which gathers life tracks and scenarios of different role in city, thereby to create a micro cultural center in city.
Trvanie projektu: The project started in March 2021 and finished in June 2021 in Taicang, China.
Pracovný postup: With the use of circular theater design and towering mazy book walls, readers and books then become the main characters in this place, and through elastic functions among books on display, collect books and seats to fit with different usage scenarios. So that readers with different culture backgrounds, age levels and interests can understand the multiplex possibility and meaning from reading at every unexpected exploration and communication, thus reappearing a urban reading culture by means of theatrical pattern.
