Keď sa súčasnosť stretáva s minulosťou je interiérový dizajn reštaurácie v meste Taoyuan na Taiwane, dokončený v auguste 2015. Projekt obnovuje starú miestnu reštauráciu v priestore s rozlohou 198,34 metrov štvorcových. Dizajn čerpá zo štýlu čínskeho mesta Suzhou a aplikuje čínsku estetiku na jedálenský priestor. Strop je doplnený mriežkou vychádzajúcou z čínskych metód drevenej konštrukcie. Tradičné čínske drevené dvere s vyrezávanými okennými mriežkami oddeľujú chodby a umožňujú flexibilné využitie priestoru. Zrkadlové plochy pridávajú vizuálnu šírku a veľké nástenné maľby zobrazujú tradičné scény.
