हुआङ्रान् इति चीनदेशीयतण्डुलमद्यशृङ्खलायाः संवेष्टनम् अस्ति। एतत् रूपकल्पनं प्राचीनचीनपुराणकथानां चतुर्णां रक्षकदेवतानां दर्शयति: नीलसर्पः (हरितव्यालः), श्वेतव्याघ्रः, अरुणपक्षी (सिन्दूरवर्णपक्षी) च कृष्णकूर्मः। मानवाकृतियुक्तं चित्रणं चीनीयनाट्यस्य तत्त्वैः सह संयोजितम् अस्ति, येन एतेभ्यः आकृतिभ्यः नवीनं फैशनसम्मतं रूपं प्राप्यते, यत् तरुणग्राहकान् आकर्षयितुं उद्दिष्टम् अस्ति। चतुर्णां कुप्यानां प्रत्येकं एकैकां देवतां प्रतिनिधित्वं करोति, तथा च ताः देवताः उपहारपेटिकायाः अन्तः मुद्रिताः सन्ति, याः चतुर्दिशः अधिकुर्वन्ति। पेटिका उपरि-अधः आवरणद्वयेन युक्ता अस्ति, तथा च तस्यां रिक्तस्थानानि सन्ति यानि गभीरतां वर्धयन्ति।
