पुण्टो इति नाम प्रतिदिनव्यवहार्यद्वाराणां कृते परिकल्पितः द्वारमुष्टिः अस्ति। पुण्टोस्य आकृतिः ऐतिहासिकमुष्टीनां तेषाम् आकाराणां च अन्वेषणात् उद्भवति। अनुपाताः एकद्वयोः निरन्तरं परिमाणम् अनुसरन्ति, एषा च सम्बन्धः मुष्टेः सर्वाः ज्यामितीः सम्बध्नाति। पुण्टो पञ्चाशदधिकशतपरिमितं (१५०) षष्टिपरिमितेन (६०) पञ्चाशत्परिमितेन (५०) च सहस्रांशमापैः मीयते। अयं मुष्टिः एल्युमिनियमे अथवा पित्तले संचमूर्च्छनेन (डाइ कास्टिङ्ग) निर्मीयते। एल्युमिनियमरूपाणि चूर्णलेपितानि सन्ति, पित्तलरूपाणि तु मार्जितानि क्रोमलेपितानि वा भवन्ति। सरलीकृतः आकारः उपयोक्तारं झटिति द्वारं कथम् उद्घाट्यते इति ज्ञातुं साहाय्यं करोति।
