Behind Glory वूगाङ्ग-वृत्तचित्रम् विषये
इदं वूगाङ्ग-इति वूहान्-लौह-इस्पात-निगमस्य छायाचित्रीय-वृत्तचित्रम् अस्ति। रूसी-समर्थनेन १९५८ तमे वर्षे निर्मितं राज्य-स्वामित्व-वूगाङ्ग चीन-देशस्य महत्तमेषु इस्पात-कारखानासु एकम् अस्ति यच्च देशस्य औद्योगिकीकरणस्य आधुनिकीकरणस्य च प्रतीकं कदाचित् आसीत्। परन्तु एतादृशी उद्योगः गम्भीरं पर्यावरणीयं प्रदूषणं जनयति। अतिप्रदूषित-वूगाङ्ग-परिसरं गम्भीर-छायाचित्रैः अङ्कयित्वा इदं प्रकल्पः आधुनिकीकरणस्य आर्थिक-समृद्धेश्च वैभवस्य पृष्ठतः दत्तं मूल्यं परिणामं च प्रकाशयति, दर्शकान् स्वच्छस्य स्वास्थ्यकरस्य च पर्यावरणस्य अन्वेषणाय प्रेरयन्।

- This is a photographic documentary of Wugang, the Wuhan Iron & Steel Co. Supported by the Russian and built in 1958, the state-owned Wugang is one of the biggest and most important steel factories in China, once signifying the industrialization & modernization of the country. However, such industry causes severe environmental pollution. Through capturing the heavily polluted campus with somber images, this community project reveals the price paid and the consequence behind the glory of economic prosperity.

- Inspired by contemporary artists such as Anselm Kiefer and Sally Mann, this environmental health and pollution control community project documents the heavily polluted and decaying factory campus of Wugang with abstract, lyrical and somewhat somber images. This group of photography points out the price paid and the consequence behind the glory of modernization and economic prosperity in China, provoking the viewers into the search of a clean and healthy working and living environment.
