Despre Nha Nhim Cazare de tip homestay
Nha Nhim este o clădire de tip homestay din Da Lat, Vietnam. Terenul îngust, de aproximativ 8 metri lățime și mult mai lung, prezintă un teren neuniform și un sol slab. Toate elementele au fost ridicate pentru a lărgi spațiul de locuit și pentru a deschide vederile către vale. Materialele reziduale din zonă sunt colectate și reutilizate pe tot parcursul clădirii. Scoarța de copac, ramurile și blocurile de beton de test primesc o nouă viață, iar resturile de la fabricile locale de textile sunt reciclate în diverse componente. Un acoperiș mare, înclinat, blochează vântul rece al nopții și permite trecerea brizelor răcoroase pe timpul zilei.

- Nha Nhim Homestay was built in Da Lat City. It was located on a slope of a mountainous area with deserted scenery from the surrounding neighborhood. This project was a story of giving so-called “garbages” a second chance. An architect’s adventure of creating something meaningful from trash.

- Barks, branches, test concrete blocks were the materials that we gave them a new life in this project.
- Provocare de Design
- The site challenged the architects with its narrow and prolonging parameters, where the length significantly overshadowed the 8-meter width. The terrain is extremely bad with undulating, uneven terrain, weak soil, which can cause landslides.
- Cercetare
- Although we exploited a lot of things inside, we still kept the harmony with the context by using the traditional materials. Instead of neighboring buildings, Nha Nhim Homestay was lifted entire all of the elements to solve the problems such as: expanded the living space, created green space and circulation space for the narrow area. It also opened the view to the valley, not prevented by near buildings.
- Inspirație
- During the field trips to Dalat, we had to drive around to listen to local stories and what the local resource offered us. We found so much potential in waste materials from the area. Therefore we decided to collect and upcycle them. For instance, waste materials from local textile factories were classified and recycled into different parts. External wood cells were reused in ceiling modules and fences were made of tree branches.

- The project started construction & operation in 2017 in Da Lat, Viet Nam
- Flux Operațional
- The purpose of the project was a building not only stay but also business. The project included the main house and additional tubins. One of the most difficult we have to solve was the weather which was really cold in Da Lat. We created a big slope roof to avoid cold wind in the night but still received cool breezes in hot weather during the day. Moreover, we divided the project into several small elements to have good ventilation, natural sun light, reducing the use of artificial energy, causing harm to the environment.
