O projekcie Lockdown Memories Seria plakatów

Podczas pandemii ludzie dużo czytali w domu. Naukowcy i artyści pracowali nad zmianą sposobu, w jaki ludzie myślą o przyszłości. Seria pięciu plakatów Timei Andorki została zainspirowana tymi ideami i odkryciami. Każdy plakat bazuje na specjalnie podświetlonym, unikalnym dziele jej sztuki książkowej nawiązującym do tych idei. Uzupełniają je krótkie cytaty dotyczące zmiany klimatu, ruchu BLM, odkrycia Marsa, kryzysu koronawirusowego i przyszłości ludzkości. Na plakatach recyklingowane książki symbolizują zarówno klasyczną wiedzę, jak i potrzebę reinterpretacji przestarzałej wiedzy.

Unikalne Cechy
In 2020, people spent a lot of time at home with their books and had time to think about them. While everyone was watching the tragic events of the pandemic from home, scientists, writers and artists were working to change the way humanity thinks about the world and the common future. This shocking year has been not just about the pandemic, but about a rediscovery of human thinking. This series of posters celebrates these extraordinary ideas and scientific milestones.

Wyzwanie Projektowe
The reinterpretation of books as objects in a series of posters was chosen because books represented a visual link between scientific thought and the need to stay at home. The visual challenge was to find a unique technique for transforming the pages, which contain important texts, into objects that refer to what is written in them.
Badania
The posters are based on specially illuminated book-objects. The treatment of each book reflects a particular scientific discovery or artistic statement published in a specific month of the year 2020. During the photo shoot, the specific theme was further emphasised by using light and creating context. But in homage to the authors, their statements, in the form of quotes, appear in the right-hand corner of the posters.
Inspiracja
The posters are linked to five ideas that have defined our century. In small print, they feature quotes on climate change, the BLM movement, the discovery of Mars, the corona virus crisis and the future of humanity.
Czas Trwania Projektu
The posters were made at Budapest, Hungary, 2021. The series was exhibited at co|show poster biennial 2021. (Colorado Mesa University, Western Colorado Center for the Arts, Grand Junction, USA)
Przebieg Działania
The used books were first turned into a unique object. But to look good on a poster, they needed special lighting. These two factors combine to create the visual unity of the posters and highlight the message.
