Skewed ndi nyumba yaikulu yodziyimira payokha yomwe ili ku Surat, India. Nyumbayi ili ndi malo okwana masikweya futi 11,000 ndipo yapangidwa ngati mndandanda wa maonekedwe olumikizana. Ziwalo zake zasunthidwa pang'ono kuchoka pa mzere wowongoka, zomwe zimapangitsa maonekedwe osiyanasiyana mkati mwa mawonekedwe a mbali zitatu. Kukongola kosavuta, kagwiritsidwe ka zinthu zochepa, komanso kulumikizana kwapafupi ndi chilengedwe ndizo zimatsogolera kapangidwe kake. Pansi pa granite yakuda, makoma a konkire ndi pulasitala, komanso mazenera a matabwa a teak ndi ntchito zamatabwa zamkati zimagwiritsidwa ntchito m'nyumba yonse. Munda wapansanjika yoyamba umanyamulidwa ndi slab ya post-tensioned ndipo umalumikizana ndi nyumba yonse.

Skewed Nyumba Yaikulu ndi mmodzi mwa opambana a Mphoto ya Bronze ya A' Design Award, kuzindikirika kolemekezeka kwambiri komwe kumaperekedwa kwa mapangidwe abwino kwambiri omwe amaonekera ndi luso lolenga, kuchenjera ndi nzeru zakuthwa. Opambana a Bronze ndi zinthu zaluso kwambiri ndi zolenga modabwitsa zomwe zimatsimikizira zochitika zazikulu, kulingalira ndi kuchenjera kwa opanga awo. Skewed Nyumba Yaikulu akuyembekezeka kukhala chinthu choyamikiridwa, chosirira ndi chokondedwa, chaukatswiri wapadera ndi chatsopano. Mapangidwe opambana Mphoto ya Bronze ya A' Design Award awa amaphatikiza machitidwe abwino kwambiri a luso, sayansi, kapangidwe ndi ukadaulo ndipo ndi abwino kwambiri chifukwa cha kusamala kwawo zazing'ono. Skewed Nyumba Yaikulu amakwaniritsa zosowa mokongola, kukhudza zilakolako, kukopa mitima ndi kudzutsa chidwi.

Makhalidwe Apadera: Simple aesthetics, a minimal material palette and connections to nature are the main drivers of the design of the Skewed House,the architect’s debut through his firm Studio Lagom. The standalone 11,000-square-foot villa seeks to create an oasis of serenity in Surat’s typical urban milieu through a programme that departs from typical planning of this typology.

Vuto la Dizayini: Taking the complete garden on the first floor which connects with entire house was the major challenge. But the research was carried accordingly and it was overcomed by proving a post tensioned slab.
Chilimbikitso: The architect’s deep interest in photography helped him visualize this project as a series of interconnected vistas, and was also responsible for the ‘skewedness’ of Skewed House. Manifested subtly as elements shifted slightly off the straight line, this was an exercise in creating vistas and perspectives, and adding more life to a three-dimensional object.
Nthawi ya Polojekiti: The project started in April 2011 in Surat and finished in August 2017 in Surat.
Mdondomeko ya Ntchito: The standalone villa seeks to create an oasis of serenity in typical urban milieu of Surat through a programme that departs from typical planning of this typology.
The connection of inside space with nature, with simple aesthetics are the driving priciples.
