Over Tranquility Interieurontwerp voor Residentieel Appartement
Boektekst: Tranquility is een interieurontwerp voor een residentieel appartement van 190 vierkante meter in Taichung City, Taiwan. Aardse kleuren vormen de basistoon van de gelaagde materialen, wat een kalme sfeer creëert. Een ruime gemeenschappelijke zone vormt de kern van het ontwerp. Een hoofdbalk verdeelt de ruimte, waardoor het plafond werd vormgegeven in ritmisch gestapelde lagen om de balk te bedekken en de hoogte open te houden. Titanium beplate metalen panelen zijn ingelegd in de zijplafonds. Een hoofdwand van witte steen draagt fijn uitgesneden patronen. Een open keuken sluit aan op de loungeruimte, en een groot Frans raam laat licht binnenvallen in het houten eetgedeelte.

A tranquil space with penetrative layers, a spacious and comfortable public venue is the core of space and spirit; the disorderly stacked materials with earthy colors as the basic tone evoke the low-profile luxurious temperament, while the connection and integration between furniture and furnishing conceals many of the designers ingenious ideas. - Afmetingen & Verpakking

- Corresponding to the lounge is the open-style kitchen, allowing culinary hours to become moments for family emotional gatherings. - Inspiratie
- The rhythmic ceiling design within the public venue allows the space to demonstrate a modern and simplified majestic manner; the facets of the ceilings on both sides are inlaid with titanium plated metal panels, adding many different layers of details to the space. The main wall with small white carvings demonstrates the clean elegance of the delicate patterns and majestic manner of the white stone material.

- The main beam within the public venue divides the space into two parts, in order not to lower the ceiling of the entire section and to maintain unoppressed spatial dimensions for the open public venue, the designer applied design skills for the embellishment and coverage, such that the design of rhythmic stacking layers for the ceiling allows the overall space to present an obvious rhythm.
