De Vouwboot, gelegen aan de oever van de Harlem River, is een multifunctionele ruimte die dient als roeifaciliteit voor het community college, een kleine bibliotheek en een museum gewijd aan de roeisport. Met een gevouwen metalen dak definieert deze structuur de binnenruimte door muren naadloos te laten overgaan in plafonds. Gepositioneerd op het kruispunt van historische en moderne wijken respecteert de zorgvuldige plaatsing van elementen de programma's, circulatie en het stedelijk landschap.
