Over X Transport Primaire functie: Vrachtvervoervoertuig

X Transport is een conceptueel vrachtvervoervoertuig ontworpen voor Antarctische onderzoeksstations. Het ontwerp is geïnspireerd op pinguïns, die op hun buik glijden om zich snel over ijs en sneeuw te verplaatsen. De schaal is gemaakt van metaal en de twee ski's aan de onderkant zijn vervaardigd uit hoogwaardig koolstofvezel. Voortstuwingseenheden aan de bovenzijde en aan de achterkant maken gebruik van vectorstuwkrachttechnologie om snelheid en richting te regelen. De laadcabine wordt vastgehouden door een X-vormige constructie die omhoog en omlaag kan worden bewogen om het zwaartepunt aan te passen. Het doel is een snellere levering van voorraden.

Unieke Eigenschappen: The materials transportation is a very major work of national Antarctic expedition. During the process of transportation, time is very precious, so the transport boat can travel quickly on the snow, which is suitable for carrying materials on the ice. The propulsion units at the top and the tail can ensure that the transport boat can reach the scientific research station at the fastest speed.

Productietechnologie: The snow transport boat's shell is made of metal, and the two skis at the bottom are made of high-strength carbon fiber, which is tough and hard to damage. Every time the Antarctic enters the "golden season" of scientific research in summer, the ships not only transport the team members, but also transport the life and scientific research materials for the whole year.Unloading is actually an essential link in the Antarctic scientific research logistics support.It can be said that the smooth transportation determines the basic necessities of the researchers in the Antarctic.This is also what the design needs to solve.
Inspiratie: The inspiration comes from The Antarctic penguins. They are inconvenient to walk on the ice and snow, but their heavy bodies can move forward quickly by sticking their bellies on the snow. How to make the transport equipment full of materials move efficiently on the snow? The design found the answer in penguins.
Projectduur: The project started in December 2018 in LAFA Industrial Design Studio and finished in January 2020 in National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Industrial Design in LAFA.
Werkproces: The cargo carrying part of the transport boat can be lifted and lowered by the X-type structure. When the cargo is loaded, the cabin rises and starts to move. According to the different speed and terrain, the X-type structure can also adjust the lifting and lowering and control the center of gravity of the transport boat.
