Idea untuk menutup laluan basikal dengan "Veloroutes" - kanopi fotovoltaik yang estetik dan menjana elektrik dan mengubahnya menjadi struktur landskap yang menarik bukan sahaja mampan, tetapi mencipta sejenis kepelbagaian arca yang menjadi simbol seni bina untuk perubahan daripada kereta berkuasa gas kepada cara mobiliti yang lebih mampan. Hanya satu Kilometer "Veloroute" boleh membekalkan kira-kira 2000 MWh tenaga elektrik dan boleh membekalkan tenaga kepada 750 isi rumah atau membekalkan elektrik untuk lebih 1,000 kereta elektrik yang memandu 11,000 Kilometer setahun.
