- Āhuatanga Motuhake
- Eleology redefines olive oil packaging through a poetic, minimal design that unites heritage and modernity. A soft white surface recalls Greek village walls, while the shadow of an olive branch evokes timeless tradition. The sculptural bottle is designed to outlive its contents, encouraging reuse as an object of memory, beauty, and cultural continuity.

- The bottle is made of glass and is crafted with a smooth matte finish. Advanced printing techniques enable the delicate shadow effect of the olive branch on the surface. The box is made of a 320gr paper and a texture is used, referencing the plastered village walls of Greece. Materials and processes were chosen to combine visual elegance with practical durability.
- Wero Hoahoa
- The challenge was capturing the cultural poetry of olive oil in a form that avoids cliché. Balancing symbolism with simplicity required careful experimentation with finishes and shadows. External factors such as production feasibility, sustainability, and durability influenced choices. Overcoming these challenges resulted in packaging that embodies both timeless heritage and functional innovation.
- Rangahau
- The design emerged from cultural and visual research into Greek architecture, light, and landscape. Objectives were to express tradition and purity through contemporary design. Methodologies included observational studies of village houses, symbolic exploration of the olive branch, and testing finishes for tactility. Results show a design that preserves heritage while offering a versatile, modern product experience.
- Whakaaweawe
- Inspired by Greece's radiant light and enduring architecture, the design reflects the play of shadows on whitewashed village walls. The olive branch, a universal symbol of resilience and nourishment, became central to the visual narrative. The project sought to honour both the natural environment and the communities who preserve olive-growing traditions through subtle, poetic cues.
- Roanga o te Kaupapa
- The project started in Fabruary 2024 in Athens and finished in June 2024 in Athens.
- Rerenga Mahi
- The ergonomic bottle offers ease of handling and pouring, while its wide form ensures balance and presence. Once the oil is consumed, the vessel transforms into a decorative object, extending its lifecycle as a vase or container. This flow from functional packaging to timeless keepsake enhances user interaction, making the design both sustainable and emotionally engaging.
