The system had to be mechanical and not electrical, because through a continuous start and stop of the light, the light itself would have a shorter duration, and therefore the use of too many lamps during the year.
Fikarohana: The research began with the aim of building an innovative tool. The goal was to allow people to consume a drink in maximum safety from bacteria, germs and viruses. After the first lockdown in Italy, I saw people with the fear of drinking coffee in a cup, therefore the use of disposable materials was very frequent. I understood that the project, in addition to sterilizing, also had an important role in the environmental impact. This prompted me to make SunWaves.
Aingam-panahy: Looking at the current difficult situation in the year of the COVID-19 pandemic, I thought that I should find an idea that can help people enjoy a daily gesture such as drinking a coffee or tea. My idea is a professional tool that reduce the bacterial load present on surfaces such as a cups, saucers, etc. Even after normal washing, the surfaces retain a bacterial load that cannot be extinguished with common methods. This tool is able to eliminate molds, germs, bacteria and viruses in a few seconds.
