- Matisse Blue is a modular floor lamp made of drop-shaped shades on a metal core. Each part attaches to the stem and is lit by internal led strips placed along the upper curve. - The frame is made from steel with a matte black finish. A central spine holds the light strips. The shades are made from tyvek, a material chosen because it is strong and spreads light evenly. Each shade is heat-formed to keep its rounded shape while looking like hand-cut paper. The parts use simple attachments so the lamp looks like it is expanding naturally.

- The main task was to find the right blue glow without losing the texture of the material. We had to balance the rounded shapes with the structural needs of a tall floor lamp.
